Description: Regular Slam

Turn-around time for implementing: 1 business day on GIF, JPEG and Standard Redirects. 3-5 business days for all other media types, including rich media creative served by a 3rd party.

Behavior:
  • Unlimited animation looping is allowed
  • Must open a new browser window upon click. Use on all HREFs
  • Can launch daughter window (popup) only when user initiated by click.
  • Alt text: 255 character maximum.

FLASH

  • When submitting Flash creative provide: Flash movie file (.swf), Flash .fla file (PC Format), Fonts (PC Format; if no fonts are provided then all the fonts included in the .fla file must be converted to outline), alternate GIF (served to browsers that do not have a compatible Flash Plug-In), and click-through URL for each creative.
  • Flash movie files saved in Flash version 7 or lower is recommended.
  • State the Flash version the movie was saved in (i.e. Flash 7), as well as background color needed for the Flash creative (default is #FFFFFF).
  • All creatives must be designed with a solid background color to avoid unwanted color conflicts with the displaying page.
  • The wmode value in the HTML code will be set to "opaque". Z-index set to 5.
  • Flash creative with User-initiated audio used is permitted, however, ad must contain an easily identifiable mute, stop, or pause button that is at least 25x25, and clearly visible.
  • Continuous looping allowed as long as used in a manner that does not excessively consume CPU resources.
  • Creative should not exceed more than 30% of available CPU for more than 50% of the run time.
  • CLICKTAGS/TRACKING: Click-through functions must use the "Get URL" command. The action script code needed for the button layer in your Flash file should look exactly as it is below. ** Keep the button on its own layer at the top of all the layers so it is never covered.

Description: Expanding Slam
Dimensions: 300 x 250. When user-initiated, ad may expand to dimension not exceeding 565x350. Expanded image cannot cover fast-facts navigation at any time.
File Size: Refer to media type from "Additional Specs" below for maz file sizes accepted.
Accepted File Types:FLASH, JAVA and JAVASCRIPT

Behavior:

  • Creative can expand when user-initated by mouse-over or click only, and must collapse with same method. If ad expands by mouse-over, it must collapse by mouse-off.

JAVA

  • Java is an applet-based technology derived from a compiled language format [Java Code]. Due to the complex nature of the applet, CBS will not make any modifications to the applet code. All image calls should be to a 3rd party server for execution and event tracking devices embedded before submitted.
  • Clicks, or other events, can only be tracked on Java creative which use 3rd party pserved redirects specifically designed for publisher tracking within the served script.
  • Java Applet should not exceed 39k.

JAVASCRIPT

  • Any code that sets or reads 3rd party cookies, or has any reference to cookies, must be 3rd party served.
  • 39k max file size which includes images and code to be uploaded to ad server.
  • JavaScript creative must be able to support all JavaScript versions 1.2 and higher or provide alt image.

Description: Streaming Video Slam
Dimensions: 300 x 250. Video movie window display can be any size as long as confined to the 300x250 ad space.

  • A minimum frequency cap of 1 per user per 20 minute session will be placed on all creative with Host-initated audio.
  • Appropriate plug-in or player detection code must be included. an alternate GIF must be served to all users without appropriate plug-in or player. No prompts to download plug-in permitted.
